The Wolf inside The Crimson Priestess. La Mia Strega Così Elegante - My Elegant Witch
"Song of The Crimson Priestess" by Franco. A fitting theme for this
My Pretty Donna robed in crimson, on our way from another lunch.
Her ineffable beauty belies her razor-sharp mind.
Something I wrote for Donna. After listening to her calling-out someone
who was attempting to deceive her.
Nothing can escape the force of Donna’s gaze.
It is relentless.
If you are a target.
The Darkwolf emerges. . . Sniffing. . . Smelling her way. . . On the trail.
. .
Then there is no escaping.
She can smell the creeping lies and crawling deceit.
And once she picks up the trail -
The Darkwolf picks up the pace of the hunt.
And she absolutely Will Not Stop!
She can smell your dissembling. Your plots. Your plans.
She knows she has all the time in the world.
All she has to do now – is wait for you to “move”.
A piece on her chess-board.
And when you hear the rapid pattering of those steps in the snow – closing
in on you.
You will know that you are in the Mouth of The Wolf.
"In Bocca al Lupo!"
So there is nowhere safe to lie.
When she comes sniffing.
She will just sit and wait for you to make that one fatal error.
And when you will move to run for your very life.
The Wolf will move with you.
And you? – You are lost.
The Wolf always triumphs.

"Don't look back, don't look back
She's right on your trail
Don't look back, don't look back
She's just a step away from hell
Don't look back, don't look back
Into the strange face of love"
