Subject: Inside the Heart of a Soldier
My Franco - My Winter Soldier. I have seen inside your Heart.
It is exactly as I have known since the first time I set my eyes upon
you.
I know exactly what I am looking AT – When I look At you.
And you, for one, know. I am not looking At you.
I am watching you.
I watch you move. And sometimes you shimmer. A light.
Not from the moment. But from another time
Almost as if I am watching a movie that I see – laid over by another movie,
that I have never seen.
Or Perhaps only imagined. fleetingly
Parts of The Witch and the Soldier
I can see the Stainless Steel Rat – creeping and moving in.
I can see the Silver-Tongued Wolf advancing. Direct and hard.
I see you. Clearly. I know exactly what I am looking at. . .
I can see you – just as you have always been - I know exactly what I am
looking at.
That wonderful man that protects me every night.
The inside of a Soldiers heart is wide, empty and bright!
It can accommodate anything. It is ready for every eventuality. Ready
for every moment.
Like a cathedral. No clutter.
Battle does that to a Heart.
Empties it, to prepare it for the engagement.
And there will always be a “next engagement”.
You cannot add to an already full cup.
Experiences – stored away in the Soul
Leave the Heart empty, and ready to receive.
I Live inside the Heart of a Soldier
It is wide, empty and bright!
Like a cathedral.
And I know no fear.
I sleep in this open, bright space – A Witch, Safe Inside the Heart of
My Soldier.
